Overview
Senior Accountant (Cost Analysis) – Consumer Products Firm. This role reports to the Controller and works directly with department heads, plant operations, marketing, operators, and the head of the business. The individual will oversee inventory and cost analysis, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations, collaborating with operations, supply chain, and procurement leadership to support accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze cost and inventory accounting during monthly/quarterly/annual close Analyze and reconcile inventory, COGS, and standard costs Review manufacturing variances and partner with operations to improve efficiency Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls Oversee plant capital budgeting and provide financial guidance Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting a plus 6+ years in cost accounting, ideally in manufacturing Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Axis preferred) and Excel Expertise in standard costing, inventory valuation, and financial close Seniority level
