Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Houston, Texas. This position is designated for entry-level candidates who are passionate about developing a career in the global commodity trading business. The role offers hands-on exposure to international trade, operations, and market dynamics, with clear growth opportunities for motivated individuals.
As a Trading Support/Analyst, you will start by supporting the team in trade execution, logistics coordination, contract administration, and market analysis. Successful candidates will gain the knowledge, skills, and industry exposure necessary to transition into a trading role, with opportunities to manage accounts, develop market strategies, and drive commercial growth for the business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
0–5 years of relevant work experience in finance, trading, or related industries, or recent university graduates preferably with internship experience in trading, finance, or business operations.
Demonstrated interest in global commodity markets.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
Eager to learn and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
Candidate must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Assist the trading team in
trade operations , including contracts and documentation, Letters of Credit, vessel nominations, laytime calculations, and demurrage settlements.
Support the team in
market analysis and research , helping to develop models and provide insights for trade initiation.
Assist in
various office and administrative tasks
as needed to support smooth team operations.
