The Controller will be based at our site located in Henrico, VA (near Richmond) reporting to the Finance Director. This site is part of our critical power business with tremendous growth. Responsibilities
Responsible for the total finance and accounting function of a site(s), this site leader is an integral member of the management team, acting as a critical business partner to the General Manager. They will lead and manage the finance team to ensure accounting and financial processes and procedures are in accordance with corporate and legislative requirements. Maximize financial returns by establishing and overseeing the financial aspects of the assigned site/business segment performance. Proactively drive actions to improve profitability, cashflow and long-term performance. Identify & build business cases for investments, evaluate & mitigates risks, understand foreign exchange and currencies impacts, support quotes & work with customers, drawing on strong business acumen to achieve high site performance. Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements such as finance digitization efforts. Ensure compliance and adherence to corporate policies, local country, and US GAAP, as well as tax, customs, and trade compliance. Oversee the activities of the Accounting and Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, 12 month rolling forecasts and annual audits. Establish and maintain systems and controls which safeguard company assets by verifying the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company's value, including complying with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Drive HR Strategies, Talent Development, coaching, mentoring and culture actions to recruit and retain a qualified, motivated & high performing workforce. Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience and training. Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred. A background in manufacturing with good understanding of costing. Typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of related experience.
