Our client, a leading P&C insurance firm, is looking for a hands-on, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong command of GAAP, statutory reporting, and financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions, including GAAP and statutory reporting for P&C insurance operations. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage regulatory filings and compliance with state insurance departments and NAIC requirements. Develop and monitor internal controls, risk management procedures, and financial policies. Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reserve analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and tax advisors. Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). 7+ years of progressive experience in insurance finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of P&C insurance accounting, statutory reporting, and regulatory frameworks. Experience with insurance-specific financial systems and ERP platforms. Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
