Responsibilities As a Direct Hire Accounting Clerk, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Invoice Processing: Efficiently handle the processing of high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Accounts Payable and Receivables: Perform tasks related to both accounts payable and accounts receivables.
Month-End Close Assistance: Collaborate in activities related to month-end closing procedures.
Journal Entries: Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries.
Assist with weekly check runs
Assist with positive pay
Maintain general accounting email inbox by responding to emails at an appropriate time
Answer emails to maintain check status and stop payments if needed
Qualifications
5+ years of prior experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates with a background in the insurance industry.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
NetSuite ERP software preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data entry.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
