Join Our Team as an Entry-Level Systems Administrator!
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Systems Administrator. In this crucial position, you will be responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of our systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Your contributions will help us uphold our organizational values by ensuring the integrity and availability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Contribute to and uphold technical standards.
Monitor system performance daily, ensuring all hardware and key processes are operating efficiently.
Conduct periodic performance reporting to aid in capacity planning.
Regularly apply OS patches and upgrades while adding/configuring new services.
Perform ongoing optimization and hardware upgrades, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Problem Management:
Provide second-level support and document detailed resolutions for system issues.
Project Collaboration:
Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper server and storage options are implemented with minimal supervision.
Backup and Recovery:
Execute daily backup operations, ensuring successful data backup to appropriate media and managing recovery processes.
Manage hardware or software failures swiftly while maintaining communication with impacted users.
Position in Organization:
Reports to: IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager.
Indirect Supervision: Works alongside Client Technology Support Specialists and various teams during system implementations.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A 4-year degree in a technology-related field is preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years in systems design/administration. Strong understanding of networking, server concepts, and experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory management, and troubleshooting. Strong communication and diagnostic skills are essential.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with VMware, SAN, Citrix, Microsoft SQL Server, Cohesity, and UNIX is a plus.
Additional Information:
This position will require shift work and being on-call 24/7. Candidates must adapt quickly to various tasks and remain calm under pressure, providing support during critical situations. Availability via mobile and email while away from the office is necessary.
Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000. Benefits:
