Patient Revenue Management Organization , Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions. Responsibilities

Answer telephone, take and deliver messages to physicians, nurses, and scheduling staff; provide customer service and clinic preparation support. Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next-day patients, completing patient identification, check-in/check-out, charge posting, and cash handling. Report medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately. Enter pre-visit orders and prepare new patient charts; obtain and file reports, ancillary chart documentation, and distribution of HIPAA/Medicare documents. Coordinate management of patient charts, encounter forms, and referrals; file and distribute insurance documents and check-in information in IDX. Verify patient demographic data, identify the correct account for patient visits, and present required forms for signature by policy and procedure. Complete IDX check-in files and manage alerts; collect and post co-payments and balances. Prepare encounter forms, batch forms or charge postings, and coordinate labs/procedures as requested. Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit and collection plan; schedule and coordinate tests and procedures; arrange return appointments by assigning the correct appointment type. Minimum Qualifications

Educational and experience requirements: Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematics typically acquired through high school education. Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or the public; preferably in a healthcare-related field. Experience in coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
