Overview
Administer and process payroll through Deltek Costpoint. Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Calculate and reconcile payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits contributions. Perform payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. Partner with HR to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues. Support DCAA audits, internal controls, and reporting requirements. Assist with labor distribution, project coding, and timesheet compliance. Prepare and submit payroll reports for management and external stakeholders. Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance system utilization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of payroll accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a GovCon environment. Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint (required). Knowledge of DCAA, FAR, and government contract compliance requirements. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, multi-state payroll, and labor distribution. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
