The Vice President of Finance will direct, coordinate, and oversee all financial functions, including: Budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll Asset/liability management (ALM) and investment activities Capital expenditures and risk management Accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP, state, and federal regulations This individual will partner closely with the current CFO to drive strategic initiatives, develop financial talent, and support the credit union’s mission while ensuring operational and regulatory excellence. Key Responsibilities
Lead financial risk management, ensuring liquidity, pricing, and interest-rate structures align with organizational goals Oversee timely, accurate preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports Implement financial systems, policies, and controls to safeguard assets Provide strategic financial leadership in ALM and investments Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance team Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and GAAP practices Qualifications
Experience:
8+ years in a similar or related finance leadership role Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or graduate degree required Skills: Proven leadership and team development ability Strong knowledge of financial management, risk, and regulatory compliance Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills Commitment to ethics, accuracy, and organizational excellence Why Join?
