Clinical Applications Analyst II position ensures that the electronic health record system, and other application software, is available, implemented, updated, usable and operational for all staff as appropriate within the organization and that data is available to staff and outside organizations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as primary subject matter expert for one or more Epic applications and a secondary subject matter expert for one or more Epic applications. Support other clinical information software as services. Execute, assess, troubleshoot, and create solutions supporting software platforms. Inform assessment and development of long-term goals related to clinical technology in conjunction with external vendors. Serve as a leader in the development, implementation and transition to new software modules and upgrades as needed as well as perform testing on new builds and applications during implementation and maintenance phases. Perform maintenance, research and testing of systems including generating error reports, maintaining tables, and documenting all system changes and statuses in a complete and thorough manner in order to preserve data integrity. Develop and validate user and system requirements, write technical and clinical workflow documents, test plans and test results. Responsible for projects which require advanced troubleshooting, research, and user access with the client-contracted Enterprise administrative organization. Identify and document application defects and manage the process of escalating such defects to the appropriate external resources i.e. Epic hosting product vendor, direct Epic vendor. Assist internal teams on an ongoing basis with escalations that require knowledge or expertise within your domain. Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting for applications tickets and issues, while consulting with end-users in addressing problems and assisting in formulating solutions. Develop an awareness of programming, technical or design alternatives; implement programmatic and workflow workarounds. Assist with building, maintaining, and generating reports within the clinical software. Maintain knowledge of Epic including Orion, Nova release notes, User Forum, Galaxy and other documentation published through the Epic User Web. Provide onsite and remote support for staff to train and promote the proper use of the electronic systems and best practices in the live environment. Attend meetings and work with sites and departments to assist with process improvement, integration and efficiency related to software functionality. Perform On Call responsibilities, during scheduled on call shift, in order to investigate and fix issues that may arise. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school, or clinical certification. Five (5) years related healthcare experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years electronic health record support experience required. Epic preferred. Communication Skills

Ability to write technical instruction documents. Ability to create training materials. Ability to write routine correspondence such as letters and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and/or external clients. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in-person. Reasoning and/or Critical Thinking Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction. Ability to think constructively and consider alternatives with short- to long-term solutions. Ability to develop and implement action plans. Computer Skills

Advanced ability to operate and troubleshoot an electronic health record system. NextGen preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Licenses or Certificates

Obtain Epic certification required within 6 months of hire date and maintain active Epic certification thereafter. Pay, Benefits & Workplace

Pay range: $79,000.00 - $124,000.00/yr.
