Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
Assist with internal and external audits and required reporting
Benefits, Compensation & Leave Administration
Provide employees with information and assistance regarding benefits enrollment and inquiries
Coordinate and track leaves of absence (e.g., FMLA, STD) in compliance with applicable regulations
Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices
Support employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management processes
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring
Conduct and coordinate new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
Training & Development
Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain detailed training records
Support employee development initiatives and compliance-related training programs
HR Projects & Initiatives
Participate in HR initiatives focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement
Assist with reviewing and updating internal HR policies and communications
Required Skills and Abilities
Professional-level Korean language proficiency required due to frequent communication with Korean-speaking employees and stakeholders in both the US and Korea
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with HRIS or payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.) preferred
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling confidential information
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
2+ years of relevant experience in a Human Resources generalist role
