Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
- Assist with internal and external audits and required reporting
- Benefits, Compensation & Leave Administration
- Provide employees with information and assistance regarding benefits enrollment and inquiries
- Coordinate and track leaves of absence (e.g., FMLA, STD) in compliance with applicable regulations
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices
- Support employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management processes
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring
- Conduct and coordinate new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain detailed training records
- Support employee development initiatives and compliance-related training programs
- HR Projects & Initiatives
- Participate in HR initiatives focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Assist with reviewing and updating internal HR policies and communications
Required Skills and Abilities
- Professional-level Korean language proficiency required due to frequent communication with Korean-speaking employees and stakeholders in both the US and Korea
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HRIS or payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling confidential information
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a Human Resources generalist role
