Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits and required reporting
  • Benefits, Compensation & Leave Administration
    • Provide employees with information and assistance regarding benefits enrollment and inquiries
    • Coordinate and track leaves of absence (e.g., FMLA, STD) in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Employee Relations
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices
    • Support employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management processes
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring
    • Conduct and coordinate new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Training & Development
    • Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain detailed training records
    • Support employee development initiatives and compliance-related training programs
  • HR Projects & Initiatives
    • Participate in HR initiatives focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement
    • Assist with reviewing and updating internal HR policies and communications

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Professional-level Korean language proficiency required due to frequent communication with Korean-speaking employees and stakeholders in both the US and Korea
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a Human Resources generalist role
