Overview

Store Manager role at Ross Stores, Inc. Responsible for all aspects of the Store's operations, leading the entire operation to ensure Company standards and best practices are met. Staffs, trains and develops leadership to achieve sales and profit goals while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Responsibilities

General Operating Requirements: lead all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity; analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance; address variances to Company standards with action plans; ensure proper scheduling of Associates; accept special assignments as directed; payroll administration including punch edits, scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll transmission, and reporting as needed. Organizational Development: recruit, hires, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates; focus on reducing store turnover through training, recognition, and motivation; address personnel and performance issues; ensure compliance with Ross policies; manage Associate relations and regulatory compliance. Expense Control: lead expenditures within budget; control payroll hours as a primary controllable expense and adapt to business trends. Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment: adhere to safety policies and ensure safety of Associates and Customers; ensure emergency procedures can be executed. Customer Service: model and supervise professional service; implement customer service and merchandise presentation programs; supervise and coach staff at registers, service desk, fitting rooms, and on the sales floor. Personal And Store Brand: maintain professional appearance and dress code; represent the company brand; maintain a clean and organized store environment; ensure housekeeping standards. Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing: ensure recovery, sizing and markdowns follow company standards; present merchandise per merchandising guidelines; manage merchandise processing to the floor promptly. Loss Prevention: train staff on loss prevention; safeguard confidential information and assets; lead annual inventory and monitor stock policies. Competencies: include work process management, business acumen, planning, talent development, collaboration, leadership, communication, accountability and execution. Qualifications and Skills

Five or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment. Strong customer service capability; ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate with store staff at all levels; ability to train and develop associates; strong organizational and prioritization skills; English fluency; independent judgment and discretion; ability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements

Ability to use store equipment; stand/walk for up to 100% of working time; ability to bend, squat, climb, carry, reach and stoop; ability to lift more than 25 lbs occasionally; ability to use janitorial equipment and ladders; ability to perform basic retail calculations. Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision of Assistant Store Manager, Area Supervisors and all Retail Associates. Some assignments may require additional qualifications. Disclaimer
