Job title - Hospitality and Engagement Specialist
Overview Location - Seattle Clinic
Compensation - $28.85/hr. DOE
Schedule - Mon-Fri; 5:00am-1:30pm

This dynamic position plays an important role in helping ETS accomplish our mission by providing patient-centered hospitality and engagement services within a harm-reduction framework.
Responsibilities
Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through collaboration with other staff to address substance use, homelessness, and systemic inequities.
Foster a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Develop rapport and trusting relationships with patients using respectful, person-centered engagement practices.
Orient new patients to the space and facilitate patient flow while maintaining a hospitable demeanor.
Meet with patients within their first 2 days to review the ETS Clinic Services Safety Agreement and complete a Crisis Intervention Plan.
Monitor patients’ activities and potential safety risks within the clinic and ETS property.
Produce and distribute a daily information item for the safety team rosters prior to dosing.
Submit incident reports or other relevant documentation when appropriate.
Monitor and report hazardous materials and conditions.
Collaborate with Counselors and Case Managers to support individual service plans for patients with challenging behaviors.
Maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality related to 42 CFR Part II and HIPAA.
Responsible for clinic opening and closing procedures and responsible for basic operations tasks (e.g., bathroom checks, stocking supplies).
Respond to facility alarms and assist emergency responders as needed on ETS property.
Assist with large patient events and activities and support milieu space with behavioral issues.
Operate oversized RV-style vehicle(s) as needed.
Attend required meetings and follow all ETS policies and procedures.

Qualifications Education and/or Relevant Lived Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Undergraduate degree highly desirable
Academic training in the social service or SUDP/SUDPT field highly desirable
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in social work or outreach programs
Experience providing services to addicted individuals from a harm reduction perspective preferred
Experience with case management, homelessness and co-occurring disorders highly desirable
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to creating an equitable environment for all clients, patients, and staff.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse populations.
Valid Washington State Motor Vehicle License
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team in a health-care/behavioral healthcare setting
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, work independently, and complete tasks timely
Dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information
Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict, and de-escalate issues
Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Office skills and initiative to stay current with technology
Additional Information Physical Requirements
The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues, fumes or other bio-hazardous materials. Training and procedures are in place to limit risk. The role requires standing, walking, kneeling, occasionally climbing, stooping or crouching, and occasional outdoor work in inclement weather. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds may be required. Vision and hearing abilities necessary for the role are described in the job documentation.
