Job Description
UNICEF is seeking an Executive Officer, P-2, to be based in East Jerusalem, State of Palestine. The successful candidate will support the coordination, management, and planning activities in a systematic and organized manner. The key responsibilities of the role include supporting office priority setting and decision making, managing an effective system for incoming information, and drafting work plans, annual reports, and other planning documents. The Executive Officer will also provide support to office planning and operations, events, meetings, and conferences. To qualify for the role, candidates must have a university degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or another relevant technical field, and a minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience in external relations, public affairs, or international development cooperation. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of another official UN language, in particular Arabic, is considered an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate UNICEF's Core Values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, and Accountability and Sustainability (CRITAS) and the competencies required for the post.
