The Director of VIP Lounge Operations leads the execution and operational excellence of all food, beverage, music, and programming in the new VIP Lounge. The ideal candidate combines culinary leadership with strong business acumen—driving vendor partnerships, cost control, team training, and guest experience innovation. This role also oversees key operational areas including F&B operations, security staffing, membership programs, upsell strategy, artist relations, marketing collaboration, facility maintenance, HR processes, and full P&L ownership across all revenue streams. What This Role Will Do
Responsibilities
Guest Experience, Membership & Culture: Cultivate a culture of creativity, consistency, and care in all departments; ensure hospitality standards are met across all guest touchpoints; engage in tastings, guest feedback sessions, and VIP experiences to continuously elevate the offering; assist with space programming on show nights and non-show nights as needed; oversee membership sales and service strategy, including onboarding, retention, and exclusive member experiences; manage relationships with artists and talent to meet hospitality and backstage expectations; oversee high-profile guest service strategy including VIP arrival coordination and discretion protocols; partner with marketing to develop promotional strategies for the lounge, membership program, and events; partner with Special Events to drive business and execute high-level events in the space. Food & Beverage: Oversee FOH service standards; develop and enforce opening/closing procedures; ensure alignment of presentation, timing, and hospitality with brand expectations; collaborate with the F&B team to deliver seasonal menus and guest-focused offerings; support National F&B with R&D sessions, tastings, limited-time offers, and annual refreshes; lead standardized recipes and prep methods for consistency and scalability. Operational Oversight: Collaborate with venue managers on operations and training; ensure health codes and licensing compliance; oversee security staffing plans and guest safety; manage staffing across departments for peak and off-peak hours; coordinate with venue operations/production/technical teams for seamless events; oversee lounge maintenance and cleanliness; implement efficient BOH and bar systems to reduce waste and improve service speed. Financial Performance & Cost Controls: Own the venue P&L; develop and manage F&B budgets including COGS and labor targets; source premium products and negotiate pricing; analyze performance data to improve profitability; lead forecasting across revenue streams; support pricing strategies; lead upsell and ancillary upgrade programs; manage costs, inventory, and production forecasting. Qualifications
8+ years of leadership experience in culinary and/or beverage operations in high-volume environments. Proven track record in F&B program management and managing P&Ls with strong COGS control. Knowledge of current food & beverage trends, global cuisines, craft cocktails, and premium spirits/wines. Experience with vendor negotiations, recipe costing, and inventory systems. Experience managing security and operational staffing in hospitality/entertainment settings. Experience with membership program development and upsell strategy. Experience working with artists, talent teams, and high-profile guests in hospitality or entertainment settings. Ability to collaborate with marketing to drive promotions and audience engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant hospitality tech (POS/inventory systems). Strong forecasting and financial planning skills across diverse revenue streams.
