The Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Governance is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of a comprehensive compliance and rules education program for 18 sports to ensure adherence to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations. The position will serve as the department’s liaison for multiple offices on campus including, but not limited to: Admissions, Registrar Office, and Financial Aid.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of all day-to-day compliance operations to ensure full adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations. Educate coaches, staff, student-athletes, campus partners, alumni, and external constituents on NCAA legislation; serve as a resource for rules interpretations and guidance. Manage, monitor, and forecast athletic scholarship awards and allocations in coordination with each varsity program for the academic year and summer sessions. Coordinate the preparation, completion, and submission of University, Conference, and NCAA reports, including (but not limited to) APR, GSR, and federal graduation reports. Serve as the primary administrator of NCAA compliance and departmental software systems, including the NCAA Eligibility Center. Partner with the Faculty Athletics Representative to oversee eligibility certification and resolve rules compliance issues. Administer and monitor recruiting activities, athletics grants-in-aid programs, eligibility certification for practice and competition, squad lists, and financial aid. Develop and distribute educational resources such as departmental compliance handbooks, student-athlete manuals, and NCAA rules materials for alumni, boosters, and the broader community. Establish systems for compliance recordkeeping, monitoring, interviews, and reporting of potential violations. Prepare, review, and submit eligibility waivers, rule interpretations, and appeals on behalf of student-athletes and the institution.
