PetSmart’s Process Leader (Retail Operations Manager) has shared responsibility to drive operational excellence in our stores while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role is accountable for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, leading associates, financial outcomes and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

People Leadership: participates in employment decisions; facilitate associate experience and development; onboard and coach associates; address complaints; delegate daily tasks; coach for operational processes to ensure pet safety and health; coordinate staffing coverage; validate engagement and communications; recognize associates driving engagement. Overall Store Experience: oversee healthcare of store-owned pets; manage inventory, pricing, receiving, stocking, counts, rotations, and planogram sets; evaluate operations for continuous improvement; maintain vendor relationships and store standards; oversee Buy Online/Ship From Store programs; analyze sales trends and merchandising; ensure safe store environment and adherence to Policies & Procedures. Expense Management: identify opportunities to grow the business; manage labor and supplies; analyze inventory reports; collaborate with Home Office for work orders and card allocations. Qualifications

3+ years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment. Full-time availability; flexibility in schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Proficiency in computer applications; strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure; strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Supervisory Responsibility

Typically oversees up to three lead associates and up to forty non-leader associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities per PetSmart policies. Physical Demands and Work Environment

Stand, walk, climb, and use hands; reach, stoop, kneel, crouch; depth perception; reasonable accommodations available. Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; team lift over 100 lbs occasionally. Occasional exposure to moving parts, pet hair, noise; exposure to live animals is common. Benefits
