We are continuing to grow! We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming Production Control Manager position at our Renton location. Accrued time is available to use immediately! Annual Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 Responsibilities
Directs and coordinates production scheduling, production control, material planning, and financial forecasting services to limit costs and improve accuracy and customer service. Examines existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Directs the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. Establishes and supervises production scheduling by monitoring material inventories, tracking production progress, and reviewing factors that affect schedules. Develops the master schedule, prioritizing manufacturing operations based on customer need and operational efficiencies. Optimizes the use of the MRP system for increased efficiency across multiple levels of the organization. Coordinates with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Programs to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedules and addressing issues proactively. Maintains interface with Sales regarding deliveries and schedule changes; provides status updates as requested. Creates, updates, and monitors available capacity against required capacity for all capital equipment. Works with production management and upper management to resolve capacity issues. Determines optimal inventory levels that balance cost and customer service, and increases inventory turns. Continuously monitors inventory to minimize excess and obsolescence; collaborates with Purchasing, Finance, and Customer Programs to mitigate effects. Establishes and implements methods and best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control; develops and manages KPIs for the supply chain, scheduling, and delivery. Monitors and measures new product launches to schedule. Provides input on new designs to limit cost and streamline manufacturability. Writes documentation required for manufacturing at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements. Collaborates with material suppliers across various disciplines to develop repeatable and sustainable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production. Organized and able to manage multiple changing priorities while meeting deadlines. Maintains knowledge of best practices and technology trends in the supply chain, including lean methodologies. Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of best practices and technology trends in supply chain, including lean methodologies. Understanding of manufacturing requirements, planning, and computerized materials control programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with individuals and/or teams. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor team members. Working knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and bills of materials (experience with Epicor ERP system a plus, but not required). Education
A bachelords degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience
Five or more years of progressive experience in production planning, including the management of professional employees. Certificates
APICS certification strongly desired. About Us
