We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee all aspects of our facility’s physical plant and environmental services. The ideal candidate will ensure that our residents, staff, and visitors enjoy a safe, functional, and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the building and grounds are safe and well-maintained. Supervise, schedule, and train maintenance staff. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems. Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and life safety systems. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOH and CMS survey standards. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, renovations, and inspections. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and safety compliance. Qualifications
Prior maintenance leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, survey processes, and life safety codes. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead a team, manage budgets, and handle multiple priorities. Hands-on technical knowledge (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
