Overview
The Manager, Procurement Sourcing is responsible for overseeing the sourcing activities across various categories, including Facility Maintenance (Corporate and Store), Store Operations, Corporate Administration, Accounting, and Finance. This role develops and manages strategies and leads the overall operational sourcing plan in the assigned categories to maximize business opportunities through effective category management and strategic sourcing. The individual will utilize deep sourcing experience to negotiate contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with stakeholders, and support sourcing team members to meet procurement needs and optimize costs. Major Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Category Management: Drive continual improvement of category vision, strategies, and objectives to deliver against broader business objectives. Execute strategic projects and provide high-level project management of sourcing roadmap strategy and execution of sourcing and procurement activities across the category team’s projects. Identify and execute strategic initiatives to drive maximum cost savings and value creation for the organization. Stakeholder Relationship Development
Partner closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand critical business needs, goals, and objectives. Influence the business through data-driven insights and develop strategies to address challenges (e.g., spend analytics, benchmarking, market research, risk analysis). Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis resources to ensure alignment on budgets, baselines, and financial impacts of sourcing projects. Project Management and Procurement Leadership
Leadership role in procurement activities, including RFx development and execution, SOW contract drafting, and pricing and contract negotiations. Develop specific category strategies including market research/benchmarks, milestones, savings targets, resource requirements, and implementation plans. Performance Management, Analytics & Reporting
Utilize existing systems to manage sourcing projects and roadmap pipelines to deliver on short- and long-range savings objectives. Track financial results and supplier performance for strategic suppliers. Identify gaps in performance and develop mitigation strategies to restore performance to plan. Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field. Acceptable Job-Related Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in indirect sourcing. 5+ years of people leadership experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in managing indirect expense/capital categories. Deep understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and spend analytics. Retail industry experience is desired. Technical/Other Skills: Strategic thinker with a bias for execution and results. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder/supplier engagement skills. Experience with procurement systems (e.g., CLM, eSourcing, spend analytics, risk management tools). Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong analytical and financial acumen. Experience driving enterprise-wide initiatives in complex, matrixed environments. Transparent, builds trust and credibility, maintains a sense of urgency, highly responsive, takes on accountability and ownership.
