Overview
The University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine (KSOM), and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology, are actively seeking a full-time Pediatric Endocrinologist at the level of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner). CHLA is a freestanding pediatric academic center with a strong mission to serve a diverse patient population and engage in advocacy. The division comprises a dynamic team of faculty, educators, and support staff dedicated to clinical care, teaching, and research. Responsibilities
Provide patient care at CHLA campus, including inpatient and outpatient pediatric endocrinology services. Participate in teaching activities and may pursue other academic pursuits as mutually agreed upon. Contribute to a team-based-care approach in a community setting and collaborate with psychologists, diabetes educators, endocrine nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other staff. Share night and weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis; reside in the vicinity of Los Angeles County to support on-call duties. Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree with demonstrated scholarly, clinical, and teaching capabilities. Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics; eligible for medical licensure in the State of California. Clinical training in pediatric endocrinology with broad exposure to newborns, infants, and children in inpatient settings and familiarity with outpatient pediatric endocrinology concerns; excellent communication skills and a willingness to participate in team-based care. Compensation and Appointment
Academic appointment through USC Keck School of Medicine at a level appropriate to training and experience. The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904–$417,709.
