Overview
Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (Division of Neonatology) – CHLA / Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. The position is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment at the Professor level or higher. This clinical role involves patient care in the 58-bed, level IV Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and in one of the four community NICUs, along with education of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical services in the CHLA NICU and associated community NICUs.
Contribute to teaching and education of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows.
Engage in clinical activity within the Fetal and Neonatal Institute and the CHLA-USC Maternal Fetal Center.
Qualifications
Must hold MD or DO degree.
Board certified in Pediatrics.
Board certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Five or more years of experience in a level IV NICU, including ECMO experience.
Must be eligible for a California medical license.
Desirable qualifications
Clinical experience in clinical neonatology.
Strength in teaching and education.
Experience in patient-oriented, educational, quality improvement/productivity or outcome research.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a complex, high‑intensity academic environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $158,177–$517,000.
