We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team!

Responsibilities

Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas.

Assist Manager in the supervision of various aspects of the departments and collaborates with managers and supervisors to achieve the departments and SAH mission, goals and objectives.

Participate in the interview process, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility Environmental Services personnel in accordance with facility standards.

Orientate, train, and supervise all Environmental Services staff under span of control.

Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve EVS technology.

Participate in regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate EVS activities.

May serve on facility wide committee.

Conduct daily rounding in all areas under your span of control.

Schedule major project work, ensuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform tasks.

Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments.

Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and work with leadership on ordering.

Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage

Follow all SAH cleaning procedures and best practices

Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital

Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Required

Three to five years of experience in relevant field and Supervisory experience

Appropriate clinical or technical competence in relevant area.

Strong leadership skills.

Communication skills (interpersonal and group, assertiveness, conflict resolution, etc.).

Organization and planning skills (prioritization, time management, initiative, follow through).

Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Preferred

Associates or Bachelors degree
