The Department of Management at the Anderson School of Management is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Professor in Strategic Management to begin August 2026, depending on funding approval. The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the AACSB International and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program with 8 concentrations, an MBA program with 11 tracks, and specialized Master\'s degrees in Accounting, Project Management, and Cybersecurity & Analytics, as well as an Executive MBA for working professionals. The department emphasizes collaborative student interaction, active adult learning, team experiences, and scholarship across methodologies and subject areas. New Mexico presents a rich cultural heritage and diverse perspectives. The University seeks highly qualified faculty who can contribute to the University\'s mission and values and support the research and teaching climate of the Anderson School of Management. The Department of Management faculty supports the existing BBA and MBA programs. Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management, Business & Society, International Management, and related topics.

The Management group is a small, cohesive unit seeking colleagues who are committed to maintaining and building a strong strategy and ethics area within The Robert O. Anderson School of Management.

Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management, Business & Society, International Management, and related topics.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an earned doctorate or have a strong prospect for completing a doctorate in Strategic Management or a closely related field by August 2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strength of preparation and promise of scholarship in strategic management or a related discipline

Ability to teach undergraduate courses and graduate seminars, including core management courses such as Strategy Management and other core and elective management courses such as Business & Society, Sustainability Business, and International Management

Evidence or promise of excellence in collegiality and collaboration in teaching, scholarship and service

A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university\'s mission to serve local and global communities
