Position Summary

The Department of Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences at the Anderson School of Management is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Professor in Operations Management to begin August 2026, depending on funding approval. The Anderson School of Management is AACSB-accredited and offers multiple degree programs, with emphasis on collaborative student interaction, active adult learning, and scholarship across various methodologies. Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management and related topics. The Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences group seeks colleagues committed to maintaining and building a strong operations management area within The Robert O. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an earned doctorate or have a strong prospect for completing a doctorate in Operations or a closely related field from an accredited institution by August 2026. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of promise of a significant program of research and scholarship. Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching core and elective courses related to operations management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Demonstrated ability or interest in teaching Operations Management core and elective courses, such as Logistics Systems Management, Supply Chain Models and Analytics, and Service Operations. Demonstrated ability or interest in teaching online. A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
