Position Summary:
The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in SME. The instructor will prepare course materials, deliver instruction, assess student performance, and foster an engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and teach course content based on the syllabus, ensuring it aligns with institutional standards. Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and provide instruction through various formats (in-person, online, hybrid, etc.). Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects. Maintain regular office hours to assist students with course material and provide academic guidance. Provide timely feedback on student work and maintain accurate grade records. Participate in department meetings and professional development activities, as required. Ensure adherence to institutional policies and procedures. Qualifications:
A Master's degree or higher (or equivalent professional experience). Previous teaching experience preferred but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to engage students and foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment. Commitment to supporting diverse student populations. Pay and Benefits:
Pay Range:
This position pays $3,200 per credit, with total payment depending on the number of credits assigned. Course assignments are based on education, qualifications, and experience. Retirement plan options are available for various employee classifications.
