Job Description : We are currently seeking an Air Quality Engineer to support a wide variety of projects. The preferred candidate will have extensive field and office experience working as a task manager leading complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for air quality projects as well as environmental characterization. The preferred candidate will have a desire to advance their career as a task leader.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
Performing air quality impact evaluations for incorporation into Environmental Impact Reports (CEQA) and Environmental Impact Statements (NEPA)
Preparing project-level air emissions inventories of greenhouse gases, as well as criteria and hazardous air pollutants for municipal utilities, power plants, industrial, landfills and transportation clients.
Conducting air dispersion modeling and risk assessments
Preparing air permit applications for permits to construct (PSD, NSR), and permits to operate (Title V) regulated facilities
Preparing technical documents including annual GHG reports and NESHAP/NSPS compliance reports for Title V reporting.
Conducting regulatory reviews and compliance/strategy evaluations
Conducting air pollution control technology evaluations
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 12 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Driver's License Requirements : An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
Amount Of Travel Required : 20%
Skills And Abilities : Strong knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.
