Open Rank Faculty Position in Philosophy of Physics. The Department of Philosophy at Stanford University seeks applicants for a junior or senior appointment at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor, tenured Associate Professor, or Full Professor. The preferred area of specialization is Philosophy of Physics. We understand physics broadly to include applications of ideas and methods from the physical sciences to the study of complexity, information, social systems, and other domains. The term of appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2026. Responsibilities
Teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Maintain a world-class research program. Qualifications
Ph.D. in a related field. Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching and mentoring. Application Materials
