The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Surgery in the Division of Urology, are actively seeking 3 full-time faculty members for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Urology.
The Division of Urology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Keck School of Medicine at USC are seeking candidates for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant and /or Associate Professor level.
The Division of Urology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles comprises a large group of fellowship-trained and board-certified Pediatric Urologist in the United States, offering care in 14 community locations. Our physician provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital and acquired pediatric urology disorders.
We are affiliated academically with the Department of Urology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. We provide training for urologic, and pediatrics residents affiliated with this program and at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
The Division of Urology is ranked among the top hospitals in the nation for Urology care on the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals List. Our Surgeons perform approximately 2,200 surgeries annually - one of the largest numbers of pediatric urology surgeries in Southern California and the Southwestern United States.
Children's Hospital offers the latest treatments and advanced technology, including endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery through our Minimally Invasive Surgery Program.
Active research includes stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, etiology of human cryptorchidism (undescended testicles), nanotechnology, and a variety of other clinical outcomes research.
Doctors in the Division of Pediatric Urology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles provide comprehensive diagnosis and care for a multitude of genitourinary conditions including bladder exstrophy / and other complex conditions that require genitourinary reconstruction, fetal urology, oncology, nephrolithiasis, spina bifida / neurogenic bladder, and voiding dysfunction.
Special Consideration will be given to those Candidates with experience and/or strong interests in the areas of complex reconstruction, including urinary diversion and bladder exstrophy, genitourinary reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, and oncology.
Requirements:
Must hold an MD degree
Must be Fellowship Trained from Accredited Pediatric Urology Program
Board certified / eligible in Urology
Board certified / eligible in Pediatric Urology
Desirable qualifications:
Strength in teaching
Experience in patient-oriented basic research
Strong oral and written communication / interpersonal skills
Ability to work comfortably in a high-intensity clinical and academic environment
The annual base salary range for this position is $400,000 - $770,000.
