Your role is to apply expertise in AI Assistants and drive adoption within industry market accounts while representing the IBM Data Platform across executive-level interactions and digital communities.
Your Role And Responsibilities
The role of the Data Platform AI Assistants Brand Sales Subject Matter Expert (SME) is to create demand and progress opportunities across the AI Assistants product portfolio in Industry Market accounts. The SME owns the budget for the market and is expected to have a business plan and the operational rigor to deliver the budget objectives. Deal ownership for 1-2 strategic transactions per quarter Assist with 10+ transactions per quarter Deep eminence on Americas sales plays to generate new pipeline Client activation and deep conversational capabilities across product differentiators Represent the IBM Data Platform across executive briefings, round tables, user groups, and online digital communities
Education And Expertise
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree Required Technical And Professional Expertise Deep Proficiency in Technology Sales: Demonstrable, extensive expertise in technology sales. Level 3 minimum product expertise across AI Assistants offerings. Proven Technical Prowess: Ability to align clients' business needs with technology solutions and articulate the value proposition clearly. Consistent Exceeding of Sales Quotas: Track record of surpassing sales quotas in complex technology sales environments. Effective Interpersonal Skills and Collaboration: Strong networking with c-suite, co-creating solutions, and influencing stakeholders during sales cycles. Utilization of Agile Practices and Modern Sales Approaches: Experience with agile techniques and modern sales methodologies (e.g., consultative or Challenger selling). Strong conversational capability to describe IBM offerings in terms of enterprise value. Operational rigor to ensure value assessments are part of pilots and engagements with client executive sponsorship toward closure.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Familiarity with IBM's Product Portfolio: Prior experience with IBM products and services (comprehensive training will be provided). Understanding IBM's Competitive Advantages: Knowledge of IBM's competitive distinctions and market positioning (training provided).
