Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance, Programs. This role reports to the CFO, RPS and Head of Programs and is responsible for all aspects of financial management for the Programs division, supporting the development and execution of strategic growth plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting to key stakeholders at division and corporate levels.

The Director of Finance, Programs is a key member of the RPS finance team and is accountable to the CFO, RPS and Head of Programs. This role is responsible for all aspects of financial management for the Programs division, supporting the development and execution of strategic growth plans with a focus on sustainable growth. The position requires adherence to regulatory requirements and clear reporting of business performance to stakeholders at the division and corporate levels. The ideal candidate will build relationships with key stakeholders and internal finance partners, lead with a forward-looking view, maintain independence and objectivity, communicate clearly and decisively, and use data and analytics to drive business decisions and financial planning scenarios. Major Responsibilities
Driving Business Decisions — Build finance business partnering capabilities and deliver financial analytics to drive strategic and sound business decisions; identify opportunities for revenue expansion, margin enhancement, and expense reduction; provide insightful data, analytics and KPI measures to optimize financial performance; identify risks and opportunities and provide independent challenge on proposed investments and expense policy; prepare ad hoc reports and analytics for management and stakeholders; partner with senior management to understand strategic initiatives and manage performance goals. Leadership
Manage, develop and recruit finance professionals as needed; deliver reviews and projects on time and within budget; provide forward-looking insights into current, emerging and potential opportunities and issues. Financial Controls
Ensure strong accounting and governance controls in line with broader Finance requirements; lead a team responsible for budgeting, forecasts and long-range planning; monitor program spending against budgets and implement corrective actions; ensure regulatory and SOX compliance and adherence to internal GAAP; maintain the health and accuracy of Programs financials including P&L, Balance Sheet, trade accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition. Strong technical skills and broad accounting knowledge, including operations, internal controls and insurance carrier dynamics such as loss ratio assessment for recording commission economics; collaborative partner to division executives with constructive tension to identify risks and opportunities; solid knowledge of GAAP and best practices; excellent organization and planning skills; rigorous analytical thinking to drive insights and support the division\'s goals. Required: Bachelor\'s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience 5+ years of management experience FP&A, Investment Banking or Accounting background Strong analytical, business acumen, and communication skills Preferred: Advanced degree in finance, accounting or related field Minimum 5 years of work experience at an insurance carrier Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Compensation And Benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end to high end for this position and will be influenced by experience, education, market/geography, complexity, skill set, and other factors.
