$62,000.00/yr - $78,000.00/yr Position: IT Support Specialist Location: Gloucester County. NJ Pay: $62,000 - $78,000 Position Summary We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide front-line technical support to employees across both office and factory environments. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, while ensuring a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain solutions clearly to non-technical users. Key Responsibilities Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, emails, and walk-up requests in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer systems, applications, email, network connectivity, and peripheral devices. Configure and deploy new computers, install software applications, and set up peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.). Provide support through on-site visits, remote access tools, and phone assistance. Perform routine printer maintenance and coordinate with vendors on copier/printer issues. Troubleshoot basic network issues involving routers, switches, modems, wireless access points, and cabling. Manage user expectations, document all support activities, and ensure timely resolution of requests in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Provide VIP/executive support as needed, handling high-priority requests with urgency and professionalism. Participate in team meetings, IT initiatives, and cross-functional projects as required. Contribute to process improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions. Qualifications High school diploma required; IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) preferred. 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a service desk, help desk, or end-user support role. Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10 and macOS environments. Working knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file/print services, and Group Policies. Familiarity with common applications such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe products. Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting, VPN technologies, and security tools (e.g., DNS filtering, firewall solutions). Experience supporting handheld devices and remote access solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously. Preferred Skills Experience in a manufacturing, CPG or FMCG Familiarity with IT documentation practices and remote monitoring/management (RMM) tools.
