IT Business Consultant

Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Business Consultant in Tallahassee, FL. The scope of work the candidate will perform is broad. Responsibilities Serve as IT demand manager and primary liaison between IT and business units to facilitate effective collaboration and alignment Lead the collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements to the IT organization Conduct comprehensive business needs assessments and guide solution design processes Identify, propose and influence optimal business solutions that meet organizational objectives Negotiate deliverables and requirements across multiple business customers to ensure successful project outcomes Collect and document business requirements from stakeholders across all organizational units through interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions Assess and analyze demand patterns to identify trends, recurring requests, and evaluate feasibility against technical capabilities and constraints Categorize and prioritize demands by type, urgency, complexity, business impact Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related field 7+ years of combined IT and business experience 3+ years in business analysis, project management, or IT planning roles Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams Background in both technical and business environments Self-Management: Must have the initiative to derive the next steps of an assignment with little guidance Communication: Can clearly convey information, in both written and verbal formats, to individuals or groups in a wide variety of settings Customer Service: Works well with clients and customers Decision Making: Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions utilizing critical thinking skills and analysis Flexibility: is open to change, new processes, and new information Interpersonal: Shows friendliness, courtesy, understanding, and politeness to others Leadership: Motivates, encourages, and challenges others Problem Solving: Able to identify, evaluate, and use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternative actions, and make recommendations accordingly Quality Assurance: Knowledge of the ideologies, techniques, and tools for quality assurance and control Professional certifications in project management (PMP), business analysis (CBAP), or IT service management (ITIL) are preferred The pay range for this role is $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr.
