You’ll lead headline copyright matters for startups and household-name technology/media clients—from music-industry disputes to platform/content litigation and cutting-edge cases testing generative AI. Own strategy on high-stakes copyright matters and lead dispositive motions, injunctions, and appeals as needed. Shape discovery, supervise junior teams, and brief appellate matters; collaborate across offices on fast-moving issues (e.g., DMCA safe harbors, secondary liability, fair use, AI-related questions). Manage client relationships and coordinate with experts; oversee teams to ensure quality and timely work product. Work on matters involving startups, technology/media clients, and platform/content disputes. Qualifications
7+ years of copyright and/or internet litigation at an elite firm Exceptional writing and briefing record on motions to dismiss/summary judgment, TROs/prelim injunctions, and appellate briefs Experience with DMCA, secondary liability, fair use, and platform/intermediary issues; AI-related matters a plus Comfortable leading teams, managing clients, and coordinating experts Federal clerkship or appellate experience preferred Bar admission in CA, NY, or DC (or ability to waive in) About Whistler Partners
