JOB SUMMARY As a Delivery Driver, your primary duty will be to safely and efficiently transport products from the warehouse using a tractor-trailer, delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Unload products from the trailer by hand or using a hand cart in all weather conditions, placing them in designated storage areas per customer specifications. Complete paperwork accurately according to company policies and governmental guidelines, including DOT logs, inspections, and vehicle maintenance reports. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including temperature checks and damage inspections. Develop strong relationships with customers through excellent service and clear communication. Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and be insurable to operate a vehicle. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Familiarity with DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices. Skilled in long-distance driving, customer communication, and problem-solving. Able to operate a tractor-trailer unit day and night, stay alert and meet set productivity levels. Ability to perform basic math functions and organize tasks without direct supervision. Fluency in English for effective communication and understanding traffic signs. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role requires sitting, talking, and hearing. Frequently lifting and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling heavier loads is necessary. Climbing in and out of the truck, reaching for items, and bending during loading/unloading is also essential. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work may involve conditions like wet, hot, or cold environments, and exposure to moving mechanical parts. Associates usually work overnight, including weekends and holidays.
