Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a
Payroll Specialist . The Payroll Specialist will assist with the company's payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal and state regulations. This role includes preparing payroll reports, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring adherence to government contracting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in processing semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for employees
Review and verify timesheets and other payroll documents for accuracy and compliance
Review employee information in Costpoint and ADP, and compare it with data in the HRIS system
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues related to payroll
Provide exceptional customer service and support to employees
Assist with payroll calculations and reviews
Maintain accurate payroll records and files
Review garnishments, deductions, and other payroll-related items
Assist with the setup of subcontractors in the Time & Expense (T&E) system
Ensure confidentiality and data security of all payroll information
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Skills and Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or an Associate's Degree in a related field like Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources
1 year of experience with payroll systems and processes
Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel and other analytical tools
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and good communication abilities
ADP, Deltek Costpoint, or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred
