A Senior (Sr) Release Manager oversees and manages quarterly release cycles for multiple software products, and ad-hoc hotfix releases, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery in alignment with stakeholder expectations. This role supervises DevOps engineers, coordinates comprehensive release planning, monitoring, execution, and drives continuous improvement through process optimization, automation across multiple engineering teams, infrastructure management, and security governance.

Essential Functions

Oversee quarterly product releases and ad-hoc hotfix releases for applications and infrastructure. Lead and optimize DevOps practices, including managing infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and third-party services to improve release management. Develop and manage dashboards to track and improve release transparency, efficiency, and performance. Plan and implement security governance practices, including SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and SCA (Software Composition Analysis), to strengthen security across all software and infrastructure. Establish and enforce policies on best practices for software development, automated testing, and continuous integration to streamline deployment and release cycles. Contribute to the definition and implementation of product release strategies, ensuring smooth and high-quality product delivery across environments (Windows, Kubernetes, iOS, Android, Database, and Cloud). Assist in release governance, including risk assessment, milestone management, release prioritization, and status reporting. Direct DevOps engineers to monitor and support environment-related issues, troubleshoot defects, and resolve them to ensure successful release cycles. Oversee DevOps practice for build and deployment activities, including managing build repositories, code branches, merge strategies, and release procedures. Develop and implement automated build and deployment processes, ensuring smooth software deployments with minimal risk to production environments. Collaborate with the Product Owner and Software Development Team to ensure all pull requests are properly reviewed and comply with release management standards. Collaborate with the Product Owner, Software Development Team, and Quality Assurance Team to groom the backlog and ensure release readiness. Maintain all release notes and documentation related to code changes and release activities. Lead budget planning and effectively manage costs associated with infrastructure, tools, and third-party services. Define and implement release strategies and processes to enhance delivery quality and stakeholder satisfaction. Conduct ongoing research and evaluation of emerging tools and technologies to enhance security and operational excellence. Coordinates release package creation, delivery and knowledge transfer for multiple products. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience in software release management for major releases and ad-hoc hotfixes. Proven ability to lead DevOps engineers and manage infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and third-party services. Experience with creating dashboards to improve release transparency and tracking. Deep understanding of security governance practices, including SAST and SCA. Experience in process optimization for release management and DevOps automation. Expertise in managing release strategies and ensuring high-quality product delivery across multiple environments. Ability to make decisions and solve complex problems while working under pressure. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps best practices. Expertise in release management, including planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of complex software product releases. Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience supervising technical teams. Excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with technical teams, product owners, and senior stakeholders. Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required 7 years' experience in related field required In lieu of degree, a total number of 11 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above At least 3 years of direct supervisory or leadership experience managing technical teams.
