Responsibilities
Create end-to-end release processes and metrics to oversee the software release lifecycle.
Facilitate Release-related meetings, including planning with development teams to define what will be delivered to Production.
Change Management: determine when changes are required for a scheduled release and ensure documentation and authorizations are captured and documented.
Go/No-Go sessions: coordinate with Stakeholders to ensure readiness and obtain Management approval to proceed with the Release.
Coordinate release activities across planned and post-production verification steps.
Oversee regular scheduled releases as well as ad-hoc/hotfix releases; ensure release overseers are trained in the process and key steps.
Ensure release artifacts meet high quality and audit requirements for both planned and unplanned releases.
Track issues and drive timely resolutions with development teams; maintain post-release metrics.
Communicate with stakeholders to provide transparency on release progress.
Maintain release tickets, release manifest, and checklists; ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Availability to work off-hours as needed, with schedule flexibility.
Manage risks and resolve challenges impacting release scope, quality, and schedules.
Plan release windows and cycles across portfolios; manage inter-team relationships and processes.
Communicate release plans and changes to business teams; coordinate cross-team processes.
Plan, negotiate, and oversee release activities; initiate progressive release processes.
Maintain deployment, implementation, and runbooks; conduct release readiness and milestone reviews.
Maintain release schedules for core services and align releases with major vendors and stakeholders.
Lead and coordinate checklist and deployment plan execution; develop automation and best practices in release management.
Research methods for managing configurations to meet business needs; ensure releases operate as expected.
Clarify process requirements across dependent teams; manage development of deliverables into production.
Review and share release notes; manage deployment to test environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; a relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
PMP certification highly preferred.
Four years of Release Management experience in a software development environment with application development, product, and agile delivery teams.
Experience in SaaS cloud technology is a plus; prior experience as software analyst, developer, or tester preferred.
Demonstrable knowledge of Agile; understanding of iterative and incremental development.
Team management, negotiation, and communication skills; excellent facilitation and mentoring abilities.
Conflict resolution and risk management skills.
Familiarity with tools for scrum planning (e.g., Jira, Confluence); Jira for backlog and sprint tracking preferred.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and align releases with business needs.
Strong communication, information exchange, and consensus-building capabilities.
Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Salary The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - 130,000. Compensation varies based on education, experience, skills, and location. The role may be eligible for additional incentives such as bonuses or commissions where applicable. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
