Overview
The Research Scientist is essential for completing internal and external client service contracts and performing specialized technical duties for the Biomechanics Research Building. The Research Scientist supervises all research team laboratory technicians, student workers, high school interns, and assists with supervision of graduate and undergraduate students using research laboratories in the Biomechanics Research Building. They also oversee the calibration, maintenance, and installation of all shared equipment among seven research laboratories. They will submit purchase requests related to laboratory operation to the MOVA Director and/or Building Coordinator/Department Chair. The Research Scientist will generate and maintain Institutional Review Board applications and perform audits to ensure adherence to the protocol. The Research Scientist will ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, propose new equipment/services, and restock, order, and organize collection supplies.

PhD in biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise science, engineering or related field
