Adjunct Lecturer in Earth and Environment

The Department of Earth and Environment at Florida International University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach courses offered within the department curriculum. Duties include but are not limited to: Utilizes Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) for use in communication, assignments, and grading if applicable. Attends training for Canvas LMS, if necessary. Coordinates coursework with Supervisor, Program Leader, Discipline Lead, and/or Department Chair. Maintains records of attendance, involvement, and progress through Canvas LMS if applicable. Facilitates class instruction and assigned class content in accordance with the Learning Objectives that are developed by the Department. Responds to students and Departmental correspondence promptly. Communicates with students outside of class to provide supplementary instruction, when necessary. Participates in collecting assessment data if applicable. Please note that this pool is open for the 2024-2025 academic year and is reviewed based on departmental needs. Primary Instructor: Master's Degree in Environmental Studies and Earth Sciences or equivalent.

Secondary Instructor, Course Assistant and Other Instructional: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Earth Sciences or equivalent.
