Director of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness . Reporting to a system Vice President, the Director provides strategic oversight of public safety personnel including a Public Safety Manager/Training Instructor who also oversees communications, and approximately 12 Public Safety Officers—while leading emergency preparedness initiatives. Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight of public safety personnel, including supervision of a Public Safety Manager/Training Instructor and ~12 Public Safety Officers. Coordinate incident response and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage surveillance systems and related technologies. Conduct training and exercises to maintain Joint Commission readiness. Qualifications
10 years’ public safety/security experience with 3–5 years in healthcare emergency preparedness/regulatory compliance 5 years’ leadership experience in a hospital or health system Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards and emergency management best practices Seniority level
