Florida International University invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department. This role coordinates and administers the operational and financial activities of academic and student programs and related projects, including CEE programs, the Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) program, and the FE Seminar program for external students. The role demonstrates broad decision-making authority and independence, and may originate new concepts or approaches.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and administer the operational and financial activities for CEE programs, including graduate and undergraduate programs, and related projects, services, and utilities.
Coordinate and administer the CTQP/MOT program and the FE Seminar Review Course for external students.
Develop, schedule, and implement new and ongoing academic/student programs or services.
Oversee and facilitate specific activities/tasks/assignments for the business unit/department.
Provide administrative support for instruction/training, including curriculum development, evaluating quality and methods of instruction, researching, and recommending new programs or revisions.
Establish and maintain academic standards and degree requirements, and handle accreditation matters as necessary.
Assist with course scheduling, space allocation, program marketing, and recruitment as required.
Coordinate all logistical matters related to projects, including planning, initiation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitor project status, analyze program data, develop reports, and oversee activities.
Ensure compliance with FIU policies, procedures, practices and programs, and with federal, state, and local standards.
Monitor accounts/expenditures, reconcile statements, and advise management on budgetary needs or discrepancies. Generate income as needed.
Serve as backup for the Department Program Coordinator, as needed.
Assist in coordinating/preparing strategic plans in support of the program or service.
Serve as liaison between program participants and the university community.
Evaluate the CTQP program and analyze data for quality improvement initiatives.
Serve as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions, adhering to credit card policies and procedures and maintaining transaction records for reconciliation and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.
Desired Qualifications Experience working in Higher Education.
