Position Overview

The primary role of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to design, implement, and refine programmatic and individualized behavioral supports for students with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs. The BCBA will serve as a specialist, increasing the capacity of school-based staff to effectively provide behavioral support. In addition, the BCBA will function as the primary interventionist by modeling strategies, data collection methods, and the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support students in reducing behaviors that interfere with their ability to access instruction in the general education classroom. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and refine behavioral support programs that address student needs. Provide direct and consultative services as outlined in Student Support Team (SST) Plans, 504 Plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs/IFSPs), or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Model evidence-based interventions, data collection strategies, and implementation of BIPs for school staff. Train and coach teachers, administrators, and support staff in behavioral strategies to increase their effectiveness in supporting students. Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and write behavioral goals and objectives that address educational impact, align with assessment reports, and reflect family concerns. Collaborate with school-based teams to ensure behavioral supports are consistent, measurable, and tailored to each student’s needs. Document services provided and progress made in accordance with school system requirements. Provide services during regular school hours (7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) on days when schools are in session, or at other times as requested by the City Schools. Qualifications

Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or a related field. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing BIPs, FBAs, and behavioral supports in educational settings. Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and related federal/state regulations. Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams. Seniority level
