Overview
Unity Environmental University seeks enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop evidence-based writing skills-focused undergraduate courses. These self-paced, one-credit courses will be offered asynchronously online. Courses will provide learners with opportunities to build and demonstrate mastery of skills related to writing, including writing with clarity and purpose, synthesizing and integrating sources, and constructing well-supported evidence-based arguments. SMEs work closely with an academic dean and learning experience designer to advise on and develop curricula. The Opportunity

Develop and advise on curricula for evidence-based writing courses. Collaborate with an academic dean and learning experience designer to shape course design and assessments. Support learners in developing clear, well-argued, evidence-based writing. Qualifications
An advanced degree (Master’s minimum) in writing or related field involving extensive engagement in evidence-based writing. Experience developing and critiquing evidence-based arguments. Understanding of strategies for synthesizing information from various sources. Knowledge of impactful ways to incorporate evidence into written arguments. Knowledge of best practices for supporting learner engagement in online settings. Willingness to embrace the potential of generative AI tools to improve learning and/or workplace performance. Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Enthusiasm for collaborative, creative work. Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. Ability to write student-facing instructions with clarity. Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable. Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the University. The Location
Unity Environmental University’s distance education curriculum is 100% online. Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely. Benefits
