SASE / Zero Trust Security Engineer

We’re building out a dedicated contractor team to deliver a large-scale SASE and Zero Trust transformation program for a Fortune 500 client in Raleigh. This is a high-velocity project where external specialists are the backbone of delivery, and we’re seeking engineers who can hit the ground running with deep expertise in Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), Prisma Access, and modern identity-driven security architectures.
Responsibilities
Lead deployment and integration of SASE platforms (Zscaler, Prisma, Netskope). Implement Zero Trust policies across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid networks. Partner with IAM teams to enforce identity-based access and least privilege. Migrate legacy VPN / perimeter solutions to cloud-delivered security. Tune and optimize traffic steering, SSL inspection, and policy enforcement. Work with SOC for incident response, log analysis, and escalation processes. Deliver detailed documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams. Qualifications
5+ years in enterprise network security engineering. Proven experience with large-scale SASE rollouts (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Prisma Access, Netskope). Strong background in firewall migration / decommissioning projects. Familiarity with Okta / Azure AD integration into Zero Trust solutions. Hands-on with proxy policies, SSL inspection, traffic routing. Strong troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, IPsec, GRE tunnels. Certifications valued: Zscaler ZCCA-IA, Palo Alto PCNSE, CCNP Security. Seniority level
