Motion Recruitment . We’re working with a growing software organization seeking a Part-Time Contract AI/ML Software Sales Engineer. This position is fully remote and focused on helping bring a SaaS-based AI/ML product to the market. The role combines technical knowledge with strong sales experience to generate leads, run demos, and close business opportunities.
The role offers independence and ownership. You’ll manage the sales cycle end-to-end from prospecting to outreach, customer calls, and product demonstrations through closing deals. You’ll collaborate with technical and leadership teams while enjoying flexibility, commission upside, and the opportunity to influence how an emerging AI/ML product grows in the marketplace.
Contract Duration: Part-Time Contract, ongoing (commission-based structure to be negotiated)
Responsibilities
Manage the sales cycle end-to-end from prospecting to outreach, customer calls, product demonstrations, and closing deals.
Generate leads, run product demonstrations, and close business opportunities for a SaaS-based AI/ML product.
Collaborate with technical and leadership teams to align offerings with customer needs.
Take ownership of the sales process with independence and revenue-focused outcomes.
Daily activities include lead generation, outreach, customer calls, demos, and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (technical or advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of relevant sales experience.
Proven ability to generate leads and close business for SaaS-based software.
Strong technical acumen and ability to run demos independently.
Demonstrated revenue growth success in past roles.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience working in successful startups.
Familiarity with AI/ML or advanced software products.
Advanced presentation and deck-building skills.
Experience with marketing and outreach for software products.
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown: 70% SaaS AI/ML Software, 30% Sales Enablement Tools (CRM, outreach platforms, etc.).
Daily Responsibilities: 60% Lead Generation, Outreach, and Customer Calls; 20% Product Demos and Closing Activities; 20% Team Collaboration and Reporting.
