This role sits within EY’s SAP service line capabilities (Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch and SuccessFactors) and focuses on helping clients improve performance and productivity. Opportunity

The Deployment Lead

will focus on de-risking large SAP implementations by collaborating with business stakeholders to develop strategies that mitigate risks during the transition to a new ERP solution. You will oversee three pillars of Deployment: Business/Site Readiness, Cutover, and Hypercare. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of business preparation leading up to go-live through hypercare and transition to long-term support for the organization, including ramping down business activities, planning the freeze and ramp up, executing cutover, and managing post-go-live support activities. Senior Manager, Technology Practice

responsibilities include interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring that newly implemented technology solutions meet those requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis. Oversee program/project management and ensure engagement economics are met. Develop resource plans and budgets for complex engagements. Drive large-scale sales pursuits and cultivate long-term client relationships across sectors such as Consumer Business, Manufacturing, Technology or Industrial Products. Build market presence by understanding client contexts and aligning them with SAP solutions, roadmaps, and strategies. Develop a robust pipeline with sector alliance leads and SAP solution capabilities. Utilize an integrated sales framework to proactively drive large-scale SAP pursuits and address client transformation needs. Lead program and project management with travel to meet client needs. Manage client relationships, engagement economics and resource planning. Deliver high-quality SAP projects or workstreams or serve as the delivery lead to support operations.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology requirements definition. Ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios. Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Proven ability to drive complex project plans to completion with proactive risk identification and mitigation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 10 years of relevant SAP experience with one or more SAP Modules. At least 5 years leading large SAP deployments across relevant sectors. Experience managing SAP projects or workstreams, including project-based and support team members. Experience with all pillars of deployment and de-risking business transitions. Experience managing offshore and remote delivery teams. Knowledge of best practices, benchmarking, peer environments and advisory experience related to industry-specific finance and technology functions. Strong research skills to address client inquiries, regulations, and emerging technologies. Willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel estimated at 40-60%.

Preferred

Master’s degree. Prior consulting experience. SAP certifications. Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of core module.
