SAP Application Development Lead

Lead - "Global Talent Acquisition" at Amtex Systems Inc Position: SAP Application Development Lead with SAP S4 Fashion and Retail Modules Location: Hybrid Nutley, NJ We need a very senior (12 – 15+ years) SAP application development lead or Senior Director with extensive experience working with SAP S4 Fashion and Retail Modules. Candidates will ensure smooth integration between SAP S4 Fashion/Retail and BTP Integration Suite as well as develop and maintain best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization. Candidates will ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core principles throughout the development lifecycle, including scoping, approach, development, testing, and deployment and represent the Application Development perspective within the Design Authority, ensuring alignment with functional and business teams. Job Description: Next Generation Transformation (NGT) initiative, we are replacing our core operating systems (SAP, Island Pacific, and Microsoft D365) with a unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This transformation will standardize business operations across Planning, Sourcing and Buying, Retail and Wholesale, Logistics and Distribution, and Finance. The ERP+ Application Development Sr. Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of application development within the ERP implementation. This role will ensure high-quality development processes, maintain SAP Clean Core principles, and drive seamless integration across the business functions Lead

SAP change control and transport management process , ensuring compliance and approval for all development objects. Collaborate with business stakeholders, ERP vendors, and technology teams to drive innovation and efficiency in application development. Ensure smooth integration between

SAP S4 Fashion/Retail and BTP Integration Suite . Develop and maintain best practices for

code quality, security, and performance optimization . Provide technical leadership in resolving complex development challenges and ensuring scalability. Establish governance frameworks and quality assurance processes for application development activities. Partner with global teams to align development efforts with broader business transformation objectives. Experience, Skills & Knowledge Many years of SAP Application Development experience, with years in an application development leadership role. Proven expertise in SAP S4 Fashion/Retail and BTP Integration Suite. Hands-on experience leading application development efforts for large-scale ERP implementations. Strong knowledge of SAP development methodologies, WRICEF, and transport management. Expertise in SAP Clean Core principles and modern application development frameworks.
