Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Scientist with hands-on experience managing, transforming, and analyzing structured datasets to support national security missions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to data-centric solutions that empower the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). The Data Scientist will work closely with analysts and mission stakeholders to import, clean, and structure large datasets using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. This role will support the development and optimization of relational databases—ensuring performance, integrity, and security—while designing repeatable queries and data workflows that prepare GEOINT, SIGINT, and OSINT data for advanced analysis. The ideal candidate understands how real-world problems are shaped by the structure of the underlying data and will play a critical role in enabling scalable, mission-aligned data solutions. Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a CI Poly 4 years of relevant experience. (A combination of years of experience & professional certifications/trainings can be used in lieu of years of experience) Experience maintaining, moving and manipulating data between applications, using appropriate software and/or Extract-Transform-Load (ELT) procedures: Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets, Access database management system and/or Oracle, Postgresql, or SQL Server to import and clean analyst-provided datasets. Experience maintaining relational database performance, integrity and security through data normalization, indexing, role-base access control, and other best practices. Demonstrated experience of advanced programming techniques, using one or more of the following: HTML 5/Javascript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, GeospatiavAnalysis, Statistics, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Arc SDE, ArcIMS. Experience developing structured queries and database functions for discovery, preparation, manipulation and normalization of big data so that methods are repeatable and easily explained. Experience building and/or maintaining databases of GEOINT, SIGINT and OSINT data. Understand and explain the relationship between data collected for real-world problems and the required structure of a relational database to help solve that problem. Possess knowledge to manipulate and analyze structured/ unstructured data. Demonstrated experience in data mining and developing/maintaining/manipulating databases. Demonstrated experience in identifying potential systems enhancements, new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and capability. business cases. Experience using python language to develop scripted solutions. Possess effective communications skills; capable of providing highly detailed information in an easy-to-understand format. Desired Qualifications

Possess Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related technical field. Experience supporting IC operations. Experienced in conducting multi-INT and technology specific research to support mission operations. Experience developing and working with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML). Experience building and maintaining databases of GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT data related to the area of interest needs. Data Visualization Experience which may include Matrix Analytics, Network Analytics, Graphing Data that assist the analytical workforce in generating common operational pictures depicting fused intelligence and information to support informal assessments and finished products.
